The primary use of pipe & tubes is in the transport of water, air, gases, liquids and many others industrial waste, chemicals, etc. Pipes are made of many different metals materials such as titanium, nickel, molybdenum, tantalum, copper, stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, high nickel alloys steels, etc.
The term TUBE refers to hollow round, square, rectangular, and oval sections used in pressure equipment, mechanical applications, and instrumentation systems. Tubes are labelled with their outer diameter and wall thickness, both in inches and millimeters.
Pipe is a hollow section with a round cross section used to distribute goods. Fluids, gas, pellets, powders, and other materials are among the items available. The outer diameter (OD) and wall thickness are the most important dimensions for a pipe (WT). The inside diameter (ID) of a pipe is determined by OD minus 2 times WT (SCHEDULE), which determines the pipe’s liquid capacity.
Resistant Metal Alloys LLP is capable of supplying a wide range of pipes globally, meeting various international standards like ASTM, DIN, BS, EN, ISO, SAE, BIS, GOST, and JIS.
A seamless pipe is a type of pipe manufactured without any welded seam or joint, made by piercing a solid steel billet. This process results in a pipe with uniform strength and higher pressure tolerance compared to welded pipes, making it suitable for demanding applications.
EFW (Electric Fusion Welded) pipe is a type of steel pipe manufactured by welding together the edges of a steel plate using high-frequency electric current. This process melts the steel at the edges and fuses them together, creating a welded seam.
ERW pipe, or Electric Resistance Welded pipe, is a type of steel pipe manufactured by welding the edges of a steel sheet or coil longitudinally using electric resistance. This process creates a strong and seamless bond, making ERW pipes suitable for various applications, especially in industries like oil and gas, water supply, and construction.
Forged pipe is a type of pipe made by shaping metal using localized compressive forces, typically involving heating and then hammering or pressing the metal into the desired shape. This process creates a strong and durable pipe, often used in high-pressure and demanding industrial applications.
Forged pipes can be made from various materials, including carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys.
This standard covers dimensions and tolerance for carbon steel and alloy steel pipes in seamless and welded construction. Size ranges from 1/8 inch upto 60 inch nominal pipe diameter with Schedule 5 to XXS in wall thickness.
This standard covers dimensions and tolerance for stainless steel pipes in seamless and welded construction. Size ranges from 1/8 inch upto 24 inch nominal pipe diameter with Schedule 5S, 10S, 40S and 80S in wall thickness.
